Very Cool: Mesh liner provides breath ability to help keep your feet cool in warm weather environments
Leather and Mesh construction.
Great Grip: oil and slip resistant
Rubber Sole.
Padded heal designed for maximum comfort.
Let’s Talk Comfort…
This shoe is designed to keep your feet cool so if you work in a hot place this is a great choice for you. The mesh design is very light weight and allows air flow - air flow is very important to avoid sweaty feet, or worse, athletes foot. On top of that the Keens Atlanta has a soft sole and padded heal for optimal support; this is a work boot that simply doesn’t feel like a work boot. Given these comfortable features you can walk around all day in these and might forget you have work boots on.
Let’s Talk Safety…
The biggest selling point with regards to safety is the light weight and premier traction. This shoe has a great grip and its light weight will allow you to stay agile. If you work in an environment that has lots of hazards WHICH requires quick feet, this is a great work shoe. It won’t protect your ankle like a bigger work boot will but its light weight and traction will allow you to move quickly if need be. As we've also mentioned - you won't be getting moldy athletes foot thanks to the premier air flow these boots allow. If you work in a more unforgiving environment where floor levels hazards (.. rubble) are unavoidable at most times, these are not a great option.
Will They Last?
These shoes are very well made and durable - so if you use them in the right context, they should last you for years (please note: the right context for these boots is an environment where you are not constantly exposed to the elements) Your first thought might be how can a shoe made with mesh last? Well they do, these shoes don’t have the appearance of a usual work boot but they last as long as the best of them. Great running shoes are made from mesh, and if you think about it, they NEED to last as a runner is constantly applying pressure while running. Mesh is good!
What’s The Damage?
A very reasonable price, you can sometimes pick them up for less than $90 during sales. If these shoes fit your work place this will be the best investment you have ever made. If you want to keep your feet cool and comfortable and want a shoe for just about everything outside this is a steal of a deal. Keep in mind that if you buy these shoes they can also be used for other non-work purposes; thus you can save on buying that other pair of non-work shoes.

Let’s talk comfort…
If you’re looking for a comfortable and stylish boot that you can wear with anything, You don’t need to look any further. These Timberland Earth keepers are stylish, comfortable and look great worn casually. They are made with anti-fatigue technology, which means they are made specifically for people who spend long days on their feet. The technology is built into the midsole and uses geometric cone support to provide exceptional standing comfort, shock absorption and energy return all day. You’re never going to want to take the boots off…not for the comfort and definitely not for the style.
Let’s talk safety…
These boots are constructed with premium leather and are water resistant; however, you’re probably not going to want to use these in heavy industry. There’s no steel toe, no slip resistance, no electrical rating or anything else that is going to provide for true personal protection. The premium leather and water resistance will provide you enough protection for day-to-day use, but they aren’t made for an industrial environment. You could always apply a waterproofing wax or cream to increase the water resistance, find out how here. If you are looking for work boots to use in heavy industrial situations check out these work boots.
Will they last?
With the Timberland name, you’re always getting a quality, durable and well built boot. These are NOT heavy duty boots, so if you work in extremely harsh environments (thing logging) and you think your boots are going to cop a beating day in day out, you should consider a different work boot. Try the Timberland Pro Pit boss if this describes you best. For everyone else, these boots are a great choice - they will last as long as you treat them right!
What’s the damage?
Timberland Earthkeepers are priced a little high but in my opinion they’re worth it. First, you’re getting a great looking boot from one of the best work boot producer brand out there. Second, you’re never going to want to take them off. You are going to wear these things everywhere, everyday and with everything. Finally, if it’s your thing, they’re environmentally conscious. So while you’re looking great in these things, you can feel great for making the right choice for sustaining the environment.
Speed lacing hooks at top of boot - get them on quickly.
They’re damn good looking boots!
Let’s talk comfort...
The Red Wing Heritage Men's 6-Inch Iron Ranger Boot is a quality boot that is designed to give many years of hard-wearing comfort. If you have worked a hard day before, you will understand the value of comfortable work boots. Each boot size comes with a choice of three width fittings so you don’t have to worry about boots that are a little too loose or a little too tight. Red Wing specialises in high comfort and high-quality shoes, so these boots are no surprise.
Like all well-made, robust footwear the boots can take a little time to form to the contours of your feet, but when the cork midsole and leather inner sole have worn-in and shaped to your feet they will be so comfortable that you will happily wear them all the time.
Let’s talk safety...
The Red Wing Heritage Men's 6-Inch Iron Ranger Boot is designed more for those jobs around the house and in the yard than for heavy industrial use. When used in that setting it provides you with more support than you would find in most of your footwear. The 6” high boot gives you added ankle support for all those jobs that you do when rough ground is involved. The oil-resistant sole will provide you with a little more grip on wet and slippery surfaces. Added to that the water-resistant leather and slip-resistant sole make them ideal for walking in the snow or wet.
As long as you are not working in highly hazardous environments, these work boots will keep you safe. If you work in an industry where danger is constantly present (for example, logging) you may want to consider a different option. Construction work boots are better suited in those cases.
Will they last?
These boots are designed for long term durability. The Red Wing Heritage Men's 6-Inch Iron Ranger Boot has over 100 years of heritage behind them. They are designed to last for many years. When, eventually, they do start to show some wear the Red Wing company has its own repair facility in Minnesota where you can have your boots refurbished to bring them back to first-class condition. That is great news for anyone looking for long-lasting boots.
What’s the damage?
The Red Wing Heritage Men's 6-Inch Iron Ranger Boot is priced a little above average in the initial outlay but, when looked at over the many years of wear that you will get out of them they are well worth the little extra cost - they WILL end up being cheaper in the long run (you won't need to replace these often)
The Red Wing company only deals with high-quality products (after all, they were rated as one of the best work boot brands) and that's all you will get with these puppies. These boots aren’t designed to compete with the low-cost imports -- they are designed with quality and long-lasting value in mind. If you are looking for cheap low quality work boots, look somewhere else
Vibram synthetic sole for durability with a 2” logger heel.
Removable Orthotic insole.
Let’s Talk Comfort...
These work boots are oozing with awesome comfort features and that’s exactly what you would expect from such a high quality work boot, after all, that last thing you want to worry about while felling trees is how bad your feet are feeling. The main features that are of benefit to loggers are the boots ability to keep your feet dry – the ‘chip-a-tex’ booties keep water out, and the Rubi Dry-Lex 2000 lining works constantly to remove moisture build up internally from sweat. Since they are leather work boots, its always a good idea to add a little waterproofing cream/wax further protect them.
Let’s not forget to mention the removable orthotic insole which is included with this boot- stock standard insoles sometimes just don’t cut it and this insole can be removed and washed. Read more about work boot insoles here.
Let’s Talk Safety...
Safety is your number one priority when working in the logging industry, one slip up could cost you dearly. The Chippewa super logger work boots have all the appropriate safety features you would expect, and then some. Available with or without a safety toe for toe protection and a triple ribbed steel shank for superior ankle support.
The Vibram sole is electrical shock rated and includes a 2 “logger heel. Great traction is vital when it comes to loggers, and these loggers will keep you grounded no matter what.
Will They Last?
The logging industry presents one of the harshest environments a man/women could work in, and you need very tough gear in such situations. These work boots are made using ‘the best materials, the best construction techniques and the most innovative technology’ (which is Chippewa’s quality guarantee)
Made using good year leather welt construction, which is reserved for only the toughest work boots. This means that in the case that the sole wears out before the upper part of the boot, you can have it repaired by adding a new sole (which is cheaper than replacing it with a new set).
Compared to standard work boots (such as these ones) these are expensive, in fact, they are twice as much as the average work boot.
When compared to logger work boots however, the Chippewa super loggers are priced reasonably, for the quality you get. There is no substitute for your health and safety, so if you’re in the logging business, we don’t recommend going for the cheapest option.
The Timberland PRO Endurance Men's 6" Waterproof Work Boot Review
The Timberland PRO men's endurance 6" waterproof work boot
Features:
Rugged full-grained leather uppers.
Rubber anti-slip sole.
Flexible steel-flex puncture-resistant sole plate.
Cement construction for flexibility
Electrical hazard protection.
Waterproof membrane.
Extra-wide steel toe.
Anti-fatigue technology comfort system.
Comes with a 30 day comfort guarantee.
Lets talk comfort…
The Timberland Pro endurance work boots are made using cement construction, which leaves you with a flexible, malleable, and ultimately very comfortable work boot. They haven't stopped there as they also offer an ‘anti-fatigue technology comfort system’ which basically works to minimize impact through shock-absorbing pads that compress and rebound with every step. The result of this great support for your feet and less fatigue on those longer days.
These boots will definitely be one of the most comfortable options you try, as they are made for the long-shift worker. Timberland Pro offers a 30-day comfort guarantee: during the first month if you are not completely satisfied, return the boots for a full refund with no questions asked.
Let's talk safety…
Safety is another key strong point with these work boots, and all the standards are included: a safety toe, anti-shock technology, and an anti-slip rubber sole. Don't forget that comfort plays a critical role in your safety too - the higher the level of comfort, the less the incidence of fatigue, and ultimately fewer injuries. which In addition to this, included is a flexible steel-flex anti-puncture sole plate, so no matter what you step on, nothing is getting through your work boots. These safety features are all a man (or women) needs on a dangerous construction site to keep their feet safe.
On top of all of this, they have an impenetrable water membrane to keep your feet dry day in and day out.
Will they last?
These work boots were obviously made for tough situations so you would expect them to have a long innings, and the only concern here is that they are made using cement construction rather than Goodyear welt construction. The latter method is ideal for durable work boots and the former for comfortable work boots.
In saying this, Timberland Pro has been making durable work boots for years, so these work boots will still last if you're not working in the harshest environments daily. It's a trade off between extreme comfort and extreme durability, and if you are working for long hours, comfort is your number one priority.
What's the damage?
For such a high quality work boot you would expect to pay dearly, but These work boots are very reasonably priced. When it comes to working long shifts there is no price to pay for being comfortable and feeling great, and the Timberland Pro Endurance work boots will keep you just that, at an affordable price.

Durable and slip resistant rubber, crepe wedge sole.
Made in the USA.
A VERY stylish design.
Lets talk comfort…
Comfort and style are the big ticket items with the Red Wing heritage men's classic moc-toe boots. We believe these are possibly the most stylish work boots on the market, and plenty of people around the world agree.
Apart from the need for a better insole, they are very well made and will mold to the shape of your foot over time, leaving you with one very comfortable work boot.
We also have to mention, the leather is super tough, so they may feel a little tough during the first week or two of wear. This is the ‘breaking in period’ so there is no need to worry, they will only become more comfortable with time.
Lets talk safety…
Lets be honest, if you are looking at these shoes as work boots your probably more concerned with style. The are a sexy looking pair of boots, but with the lack of safety features, they are not made for harsh environments such as construction sites or the logging industry.
In saying that, they are a very well made, heavy set work boot which is a great choice if your work does not require you to trudge through rubble and uneven terrains day in, day out.
Will they last?
There is no doubt that these boots are well made with high quality materials, did we mention that they are hand crafted in the US?
Made using good year welt construction which means they are super durable work boots. This also means there is the option of replacing the sole with a new one if it ever wears down.
Its important to note, that if you work in harsh environment's, these work boots will not rate so highly when it comes to durability, so if this describes you, check out these work boots for other options.
Whats the damage?
Red Wing work boots are classic, stylish and trusted American work boots, meaning they may cost you a little extra, depending on where, and when you get them. Honestly though, they are a pair of work boots that you could wear to work, and also out on the weekends, so if they work for an all-in-one boot for you, its a fair price to pay.

Rustproof -ring and speed hook lacing - get them on fast.
Anti-debris fully gusseted tongue to keep debris at bay.
Solid rubber sole with multi-directional lugs for traction on varied terrain (Superior hiking boot style traction)
Lets talk comfort…
Firstly, we all know that if you spend a day with wet shoes, you are nowhere near being comfortable. The timberland white ledge work boots go the extra mile to keep your feet dry, with seam-sealed joins and full-grained leather. If you have ever worn a seam-sealed wet-suit, you will know that it makes a huge difference, as the joints are the weak points when it comes to water.
All the superior Timberland Pro comfort features are included within this work boot; a removable dual density EVA foot-bed, leather, and a soft padded collar.
As mentioned above, there are no steel or composite toes within this work boot, so if this is an issue for you, check out a pair of construction work boots here. The gusseted anti-debris tongue comes in handy to manage debris and falling objects when working in harsh environments.
The main safety feature here is the superior traction out-sole; multi-directional out-sole lugs give you excellent traction on varied surfaces. You could even go as far as saying that this pair of boots has a hiking boot sole, which is great if you work around wet and slippery terrain.
Will they last?
Full-grained, abrasion resistant leather definitely helps towards durability, but the strong point here is the seam-sealed joints. Having moisture in your work boots is the fastest way to kill your boots, so the extra water protection here is vital for long lasting work boots.
Whats the damage?
Timberland Pro work boots are generally high quality, therefore you can normally expect to pay a little above the average work boot price. The timberland pro white ledge waterproof work boot is a unique boot, so its surprising to discover that the price is actually quite reasonable. Priced well below average, we think this is an awesome bargain if it ticks all of the boxes for you.
It's no surprise this is one of America's favourite, and most trusted, work boots.
Let's talk comfort…
American made boots are known for delivering superior comfort, and these boots are no exception. In fact, we rated them in the top 3 most comfortable work boots here. From the moment you set foot in these boots you will appreciate how they feel - soft cotton drill vamp lining interior and a removable dual-density, shock-absorbing insole. Your feet are surrounded by comfort, and shock is minimized with each step, while the energy is returned as your foot lifts, adding to that ‘spring in your step’ feeling.
Let's talk safety...
These work boots do not have a safety toe, but they do have all of the other standard safety features that you would expect from an American made pair of boots. A fiberglass shank for superior ankle support keeps you confident in your stride, and the wedge-style sole is abrasion and slip-resistant, meaning you stay grounded on even the most slippery surfaces. If your looking for something with superior safety features, check out these Timberland work boots.
Will they last?
These boots are simply made to last, and you can be sure they will protect your feet for years to come with the right treatment. The full-grained oil-tanned leather uppers are super durable, and they are attached to the sole with good-year welt construction, which is the toughest way to make work boots. This means that the sole is guaranteed to never rip away from the upper part of the boot, even after years of wear. In the unlikely case that this does happen, repairs easily fix the problem.
What's the damage?
The Thorogood Men's American heritage Moc-Toe boots are superior quality work boots, and they are proudly American made. Let's not forget how darn awesome they look. For these reasons, you would expect them to cost an arm and a leg, but they are priced reasonably well - just above the average work boot price. Why? The competition in the work boot industry is fierce, keeping prices low, meaning you can grab a pair of great quality work boots such as these at a silly price.
Timberland Pro work boots are renowned for pushing the boundaries when it comes to comfort, and the Steel-Trax are no exception. Inside this boot, the moisture-wicking, antimicrobial Cambrelle lining, in combination with an open-cell polyurethane foot-bed, means your feet are cushioned, and kept dry, all day long. On top of this, the Agion Antimicrobial Cover means your shoes will stay fresh and germ free for longer.
lets talk safety...
Just take a look at these boots and you can see how safe they look - clearly built in mind for harsh, unforgiving environments. Steel safety toe's, ankle supporting steel shanks, and electrical hazard rated so there is no chance of getting zapped. The rubber sole is designed to be ladder safe, and is also slip and oil resistant to ensure you remain on your feet in slippery situations. All bases covered when it comes to safety.
Will they last...
The Timberland Pro Steel-trax exceeds expectations when it comes to durability. We believe this is the reason for so many raving customer reviews - they could last you many years, which is what we all want out of our work boots. They are made using Goodyear welt construction, which is common with all of the longest-lasting work boots on the market. The full-grained leather uppers are super rugged and abrasion resistant, and the signature Timberland pro rubber toe lining only adds to the toughness. You can kick through rubble with confidence, knowing your boots can take the beating you are giving them.
Whats the damage...
These work boots are priced in the standard, mid range bracket for work boots. For a pair that is built to last, this is a great price. They are not cheap, but they are not expensive and in terms of value, they are a great choice since they will last you years and years with proper care.
